Are we thankful?

Two verses I read yesterday, that made me think about how thankful I am to the Lord. They also made me realize how often I take these things for granted when I should always be extremely thankful.

Romans 5:5
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Romans 5:20
. . . But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.

I ask you to meditate on these verses. Aren't they amazing! Just the opposite of how we human beings normally react if we were to be treated the way we sometimes treat God. Are we truely thankful for the grace and mercy God has consistently given us? Do we even acknowledge it or do we take this for granted?
